Produced and directed by Na Maka o ka `Aina for the Pele Defense Fund as an appeal for help to stop geothermal drilling in the Wao Kele o Puna rain forest (awarded Best Political Film of the 1990 Hawai'i International Film Festival by the Political Film Society.)

Na Wai e Ho'ōla i Nā Iwi

Who will save the bones of our ancestors? This story documents the activities at Honokahua on the island of Maui, where close to 1,000 ancient burials were unearthed for the development of a hotel resort. This is the story of how Hawai'ians successfully fought to save their ancestral bones and burial grounds (also by Na Maka o ka `Aina.)
